Santa Maria Maggiore in Piazza Duomo 

The Roman Catholic Cathedral of Santa Maria Maggiore in Como, Italy is located at Piazza Duomo, Como in one of the piazzas surrounded by shops and local restaurants (Duomo di Como). This cathedral is unique because it is usually mentioned as the last Gothic cathedral in Italy created by Lorenzo degli Spazzi di Laino. The Cathedral began in 1396 over the ruins of the Romanesque Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore and was not finished until 1770.  Between the couple hundreds of years, other people worked on the Cathedral such as; Pietro da Breggia between 1426 and 1453 and Florio da Bonta and Luchino Scarabota.

Loewe Fall/Winter 2011 Skirt

Stuart Vevers (designer of Loewe) created this horizontal layered skirt with geometric graphics for his Fall/Winter 2011 collection (P,Monica).  The designer focused on browns, golds, maroons and black for his collection. The circles on the dress are perfectly symmetrical with each other and are evenly distributed throughout the skirt. The detail within the pattern and the detail in the circle on the church show great resemblance. Such as the big circle that holds the smaller circle in the middle.  There are also small lines that connect the bigger circle to the smaller circle in the art and fashion examples.
